今日は黒枝豆を収穫しました。
一般的な枝豆は夏が旬ですが、黒枝豆の旬は9月〜10月なのです。
薄皮がほんのり黒っぽい色をしていて、豆の甘みとホクホク感が特徴です。
ちなみに黒枝豆をそのまま完熟させると、おせち料理などでおなじみの、黒豆になるそうです。
こんな感じで枝についているさやを、収穫用のハサミで、ひとつひとつ切り離していきます。
5kgほど収穫できました。
今年はあまり手を掛けられなかったので、来年また、リベンジしたいと思います！
